MYTH #1: Leather is always cold.
Not true! Leather absorbs the temperature of its environment. In a cold room, the leather furniture is cold. If the room is toasty, then the leather furniture is nice and warm too, so if the room is 72°, the leather furniture is 72° as well. Leather also absorbs the temperature of your body, warming up after you sit in it.
MYTH #2: Leather is bad for homes with children.
Nope! Leather is perhaps the most durable furniture material available, and is naturally strong enough to withstand the worst your kids can give it. Compared with many fabrics and synthetics, leather is actually a better choice for houses with kids of any age.
MYTH #3: Leather is uncomfortable.
False! Leather furniture is available in a wide variety of thicknesses and finishes, some of which are extremely comfortable and may pleasantly surprise you. The best way to find out is to sit in it! Find out for yourself if your body likes the feel of leather furniture.
MYTH #4: Leather stains easily.
Wrong again! Leather furniture is actually more stain resistant than most other textile options and will block many spills from absorbing. Many accidents are easily cleaned and even a lot of the set-in stains will come out. For even more leather spill protection, have your furniture treated to give it a special defense that will stand the test of time.
MYTH #5: Leather furniture is expensive.
